Senior Carl Richardson of the Salinas Cowboys embodies the true persona of a quarterback. The 3-star national recruit grew up in a football family. His father, Kevin Richardson played at Stanford from 1984-1989 and recorded 289 tackles for the Cardinal as a linebacker. His older brother Jack is currently a back up QB at The Farm as well.
Richardson started playing football as a quarterback and works everyday to be the best leader and player he can be for his team. In the first four games of his senior year, Richardson completed 97-of-134 passes for 1,446 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also rushed for 274 yards on 27 carries and scored 3 rushing touchdowns for his Cowboys.
With six regular season games left, Richardson is looking to out-perform his junior season but more importantly deliver a triple crown: PCL, NorCal and State title for Salinas High.
Richardson as of right now, has no preference where he goes to college next year but one things for sure, he will be playing D1 football somewhere. With 8 offers and counting, Richardson’s ultimate goal is to play in the NFL but for now, he’s going to cherish every second with his fellow Cowboys at “The Pitt” in front of “the best student section” in California.
