Game of the Week | Serra Padres vs Valley Christian Warriors

Posted October 29, 2017 by in

Serra’s defense gave up only one touchdown early in the opening quarter and shut down their opponent the rest of the way. Junior LB E.J. Lahlouh led the Padres with 12 tackles, three of which were behind the line. Lahlouh took home the GSF KT Prep Playmaker shirt.
Offensively, senior standout Isiah Kendrick ran away with three touchdowns of his own. Kendrick carried the ball 15 times for 148 yards. He also scored Serra’s first TD of the game to even up the score at 7. Kendrick was last year’s GSF Game of the Week Playmaker against SI. This year, he is the MVP.
DB Chris Park had the best game on both sides of the ball. He came up huge with multiple pass breakups and a momentum killing interception late in the second quarter. Park also caught a 57-yard touchdown in the second half. The early dagger gave the home team a three touchdown lead.
The Padres would go on to win 35 to 7, one of their most dominant win of the season against a quality team.
