HIGHLIGHTS: Riordan vs Mitty – Boys Soccer 2014

Posted January 12, 2014 by in – WCAL soccer powerhouse Mitty hosted the boys from Riordan for a Saturday afternoon showdown at their home turf. The Monarchs scored early after a foul on Eric Espinoza. Senior captain Roy Powell kick a picture perfect ball right over the Crusader’s goal keeper James Brognoli.
Mitty had multiple opportunities to score in the game but Brognoli managed to make some tough saves.
The Monarchs would add one more insurance goal late in the game. Tanner Haas found Espinoza streaking up the middle for the second and final goal of the game. Mitty improved to 7-1-2 overall, 4-0-1 in WCAL while Riordan fell 0-4 in league with an overall record of 1-7-2.
