Very interesting weekend in the NFL this past week. We had a couple surprising blow outs, a few surprising close games and we still have 5 undefeated teams. Before I get into those special few, let’s talk about the Bay.

Cue the music! “The Autumn wind is a Raider…” The winds are indeed blowing and the Raider bandwagon boat is full steam ahead and I’m hopping on. No, I’m not becoming a Raider fan, but I am fully standing behind that they are a force in the AFC. They currently are 3-3 and are in second place in the AFC West almost midway through the season. The combo of AC/DC (Derek Carr and Amari Cooper) is fantastic. This will be a duo to watch for years to come. Kenny Norton Jr. has that defense rolling and they could have an outside shot at making the playoffs if they play complete football like they have been.

What separates a good team and a bad team? The Bay Bridge. The 49ers… Oh man. Just when I was ready to pick them Thursday night they rolled over. Apparently “big changes” are coming soon for the team. I think that #7 will be taking a seat. He has been absolutely nonexistent in the offense. This past game was the first time in his career that he didn’t have a rushing attempt. This is not a formula to win. I’m not sure if it’s offensive coordinator Geep Chryst’s doing or if Kaep is just being the new Kaep, but this is a problem that will not be fixed. Start preparing for Jared Goff, 49er fans. He’s coming.

Now, since it’s Halloween I wanted to do a little something different before picking the Monday night game. This is called “Trick or Treat”. I’ll go through each of the undefeated teams and tell you shortly who’s tricking and who’s treating. Let’s begin.

WATCH: Jets vs Patriots

Patriots- Treating.
I keep assuming that this team will lose against some solid competition, especially the Jets. But they’re not. I don’t think they will lose. Brady looked great against the top ranked defense and the team as a whole is rolling.

Bengals- Treating.
This is a very good team. Sneaky good honestly. People often forget about them in the AFC with the Pats doing so well but this could be the one team to dethrone the Champs. If only they played each other. Andy Dalton has been fantastic. That defense has been playing very well against formidable opponents. Finally, Marvin Lewis is doing what he should’ve done for years with the talent that he’s had. Keep an eye on them.

Broncos- Tricking.
I know that this is a very good defense, but c’mon now folks, this offense is awful. I cannot get behind this team with how bad Peyton Manning is playing. I can’t believe I’m even saying that. He has more interceptions than touchdowns. That is not a recipe for success. No candy coming from this 6-0 team.

Panthers- Treating.
The Panthers are looking like the team they were two years ago when they were in the divisional round against SF. Super Cam is playing so well despite not having his top target from a year ago. The defense has been playing really well especially last night shutting down the Eagles. This could be a team that pushes the Packers in the NFC. Remember when they were the “worst” team in the playoffs last year?

Packers- Treating.
The Packers got to enjoy a much needed bye week after their win against the Chargers. Boy do they have a big game this week. We will put the trick or treat idea to the test as they take on the Broncos this week. The offense looks so good even with their three top receivers all beat up. Even former Cardinal Ty Montgomery is hurting right now and they are on a roll. The defense has been surprisingly good this season. Both sides of the ball are clicking and they have been a treat to the NFC.

For tonight’s game, it’s very simple. Cardinals will win this game big. Arizona is coming off a bad loss to Pittsburgh but the Ravens made the 49ers look like the team from 3 years ago when they went to the Super Bowl. I think Carson Palmer gets the offense rolling and the defense scores two touchdowns as they win big tonight. I know that they are mad following their loss to Mike Vick and Landry Jones. They respond with a win.

Don’t forget to tune in Thursday as we pick some games for the coming week.
