Another week of the NFL season kicks off tonight that means it’s time to start picking some games. In such an unpredictable year, this should be interesting. Here goes nothing!

49ers @ Cardinals- Pick: Cardinals
The Cardinals look to be the class of the NFC at this point. Their defense is playing lights out and Carson Palmer is playing as good as anyone. With that said, the 49ers are coming off a very rough outing at Pittsburgh. This one should be easy

Raiders @ Browns- Pick: Raiders
Might be a bit of an upset here but I think the Raiders are heading in the right direction. Both defenses are playing really well but I think Derek Carr will live up to the hype and get the job done over Josh McCown. If this were Manziel vs Carr, give me Cleveland.

Game of the Week: Chiefs @ Packers- Pick: Chiefs
This is a huge game against two of the elite of the NFL right now. The Chiefs are coming off a rough ending against the Broncos at home. I think they come back and attack the Packers who, despite being 2-0, aren’t as strong as people think. Defense wins championships and defense will win this game.

Upset Special: Falcons @ Cowboys- Pick: Cowboys
Yes I know, people will call me a homer. I know Tony Romo AND Dez Bryant are hurt. However, let me tell you some people who aren’t hurt: Sean Lee, Demarcus Lawrence, Tyrone Crawford and Morris Claiborne. The Cowboys defense has successfully shut down the Eagles run game and Odell Beckham Jr. in consecutive weeks. While the Falcons have been high flying, I think the Cowboys will shut down the dirty birds en route to their 3rd victory of the year. A lot of this is contingent on Brandon Weeden and his effectiveness.

Feel free to let me know your picks or question mine! I’d love to continue to conversation. Hit me up @DDorseyGSF on Twitter! Enjoy the weekend!
