San Jose State Spartans vs Northern Colorado University

SJSU took on Northern Colorado University to open up the 2019 season. Senior QB Josh Love threw for 224 yards completing 21 out of 31 pass attempts and no interceptions. He also scored on the ground late in the first half to extend the Spartans’ lead to 21-6.
LB Ethan Aguayo led the SJSU defense with 20 total tackles. The senior was all over the field and got his first sack of the season late in the fourth quarter on QB Jacob Knipp.
Final score: Spartans 35, Bears 18.
