The Colorado State Rams continued their winning ways as they increased their win streak to seven games with a 38-31 victory over San Jose State.
CSU’s running back Dee Hart stole the show with 104 yards on the ground and four touchdowns. Two of Hart’s TD’s came in the fourth quarter, giving the Rams a 38-24 lead at the time.
The Rams also showcased the nations leading receiver in yards and touchdown receptions in Rashard Higgins, and they did not disappoint. Higgins added to his totals by catching eight passes for 143 yards and one touchdown. The sophomore now boasts 1,280 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns while recording five straight games of at least 100 yards.
The Spartans went toe to toe with the Rams throughout the entire game, thanks in large part to RB/WR Tyler Ervin. The duel threat had 18 carries for 149 yards and one touchdown, while also catching four passes for 38 yards.
SJSU (3-5; 2-2) will now head to Fresno State to take on the Bulldogs (3-6; 2-3). CSU (4-1; 8-1) will return home to host Hawaii (2-7; 1-3).
