A near-perfect game for Menlo’s QB Jack Heneghan against Half Moon Bay – Game of the Week

Posted September 29, 2013 by in – Menlo quarterback Jack Heneghan ran for three touchdowns and threw for three in the Game of the Week vs Half Moon Bay. On the third play of the game he gassed the Cougars defense for a 48-yard touchdown and then threw two touchdowns — a fade to Graham Stratford and a quick out to Travis Chambers, making it 21-0 in the first quarter.

Half Moon Bay would get on the board in the second quarter with a 1-yard touchdown run by Matt Spiegelman to make it 21-6 but the Knights would answer with two more touchdowns before halftime. Heneghan would rush for his second touchdown and then complete a swing route to Chambers who would score from 20 yards, building Menlo’s lead to 34-6.

In the third quarter, Heneghan continued his MVP performance, rushing for his third touchdown of the game. Then running back Travis Chambers finished Menlo’s assault with a sweep left that went 45-yards down the sideline for his third score of the day. The final score of 47-6 improves the Knights record to 3-1 as they travel to Oakland next week to face McClymonds.
