CLAYTON VALLEY 70 NORTHGATE 7
MILES HARRISON’S INSANE NUMBERS
The Clayton Valley running back needed 86 yards to break 1,000 for the season and shattered that mark with half a game’s work. Harrison rushed 11 times for 249 yards and four touchdowns before the resting the last two quarters of the night. Averaging nearly 23 yards a carry against Northgate, the senior had three scores (43, 66, 75) from long distance. There’s really not a lot of mileage on this back through seven games and this running game can be intimidating with a healthy Harrison.
DEFENSE IMPRESSES
I mean UGLY in the beastliest way possible. Clayton Valley went into this game allowing just 10 points per game and set the bar higher after almost shutting out Northgate before Dylan Alves scored on a field goal attempt. The play of the night came by the hands of linebacker Joseph Nguenti who ripped the ball out of a Bronco running back’s hands and took it 65 yards to give Clayton Valley a 49-0 lead.
WILL CONCORD AND CLAYTON VALLEY GET UGLY?
This rivalry series is currently tied at 3-3 which means more motivation for both teams. This CV defense will be tested by Concord QB Mitch Daniels who leads a powerful air attack with his primary target being WR Mason Knight. The Minutemen defense will have a load waiting behind the legs of Miles Harrison. This is a primetime matchup.
