Mitty VS Sacred Heart Cathedral – GetSportsFocus Football 2013

GetSportsFocus.com – Undefeated Mitty Monarchs took a trip out to the City to take on the Fighting Irish of Sacred Heart Cathedral in a cold mid October Friday night.

GAME NOTES

First drive. 61 yards, led by solid runs by Chandler Ramirez, Dakari Monroe and Eric Sargis. Capped off by a 19 yard touchdown run by Ramirez. 7-0 Mitty
First play following a “three and out,” Dakari Monroe scores on a 50 yard run. 14-0 Monarchs.
Mitty’s third possession, first pass play attempt, quarterback Trenton Scharrenberg gets hit from behind by Nico Dizon and fumbles; Ramirez recovers for Mitty.
2nd quarter
Mitty with great field position, finish the short drive with Scharrenberg; 2 yard touchdown run, 21-0 Monarchs.
Sacred Heart driving, Daniel Mendoza gets the sack; Irish forced to punt.
Mitty with the ball, Dakari Monroe brought down for a loss by defensive back Jordan Defiesta.
3rd and long, Ramirez rushes for 26 yards; converts the first down.
Same drive; Ramirez punches it in from 5 yards out. 28-0 Monarchs.
Mitty in control again. Pass from Scharrenberg to Zach Seavers, complete for 12 yards; Chad Brady with a hard hit on Seavers, but Seavers holds on.
Same drive; Scharrenberg completes a 26 yard touchdown pass to Jose Manzo. (ball appeared to be intercepted) 35-0 Monarchs.
3rd quarter
Pass complete to Ramirez for a 8 yard gain…sets up a 35 yard touchdown run by Monroe. 42-0 Mitty
Irish in Monarch territory; Logan White’s pass to Jordan Defiesta is tipped but complete for a 32 yard touchdown. 42-7 Mitty.
The Monarchs (6-0) host St. Francis (4-1) next week, while Sacred Heart (2-4) visits Riordan (2-3).
