It was Senior Night at St. Francis and it was also their Homecoming Game against the Mitty Monarchs Friday night. Senior QB Joshua Perry led the offense with a pair of passing touchdowns one to his 3-Star TE Dillon Golden in the first quarter and the other one to Tim Netane right before the half. JuJu Teu had a memorable night scoring the first touchdown of the game and a 91-yard kick return for a score, the first of his high school career in front of his families and friends.

Mitty made the most of what they had to work with. They came out without their star TE/DE Dominic Boccabella and QB Wills Towers. There were some bright spots in the first half when the offense started moving the ball and got inside the ten-yard line. They did it twice on back-to-back drives with some well-executed defensive stops in between but they turned the ball over on both occasions. When you play a team like St. Francis, you need to almost play a perfect game and that was the game-changer.

St. Francis got their third shutout of the year, 45-0, and will now play Serra next in the 2021 regular-season finale on the road, in San Mateo and they look to spoil Serra’s Senior Day and Polynesian Day festivities with a win. But it will be a tough task to execute because Serra is also undefeated and stacked with talent. One thing for sure, only one WCAL team will be crowned champions on November 6th, kick-off time is at 2:30pm.
