Talk about a game changer. Saint Francis’s junior wide receiver and outside linebacker Carsten Rawls is too talented to simply limit himself to just football. Rawls not only plays both sides of the game, but also competes in wrestling and Track at St. Francis. Coming to California from Texas was a big change for the athlete, but it did not slow him down at all. Not only is Rawls a stud in all of his athletic commitments, but he kills it in the classroom as well managing to keep a 3.3 GPA. Jumping from football to wrestling is not an easy task, as Rawls eats what he wants in the fall before transitioning to a strict diet right after season to cut weight for his 181 weight class. All of these responsibilities and he is only a junior. He has a few schools looking at him, but his recruitment process is just kicking off. The three sport athlete is not afraid to work hard and it is clear that he has a true passion for anything that requires athleticism as he can’t even decide on which sport is his favorite. Rawls has already shown so much that there is no telling in what he will accomplish the rest of this year and the next.
