CCS Open Division | SHC Upsets #1 St. Ignatius

Posted March 4, 2015 by in – After trailing 26-18 at halftime, SHC fought back in the second half outscoring SI 27-4 to start the third. Gabrielle Vigil orchestrated the offensive attack scoring 16 points for the Fightin’ Irish. Teammate A’shanti Coleman dominated the inside game with 10 rebounds to go along with her 24 points.
SI had plenty of chances in the final minute to either tie it up or get ahead, but it wasn’t meant to be. The final six seconds pretty much summed it all up for the Wildcats. Joleen Yang threw a hail mary shot which banked off the backboard and into the basket, but time expired a split second before the ball left her shooting hand.
