Mater Dei dominated De La Salle in the 2017 CIF Open Division State Championship 52-21.
JT Daniels was awarded the GSF Game of the Week KT Prep MVP honors after a fine performance. The top rated junior QB completed 20 out of 30 pass attempts for 233 yards. He scored a total of five touchdowns: 2 rushing and three passing.
Daniels committed to USC earlier this year before leading Mater Dei to its first state championship.
