
Pacific Hills “Big Three” – Jackson, Taylor and Wright combined for 54 points to win CIF D-4 State Title

GetSportsFocus.com – Pacific Hill’s “big three” were huge, earning a CIF Division Four State Title against Cardinal Newman. Seniors Jahmel Taylor, Marcus Jackson, and junior Namon Wright combined for 54 points in the Bruins 58-52 win.
Rice-bound Marcus Jackson led the Bruins with 23 points while Washington-bound guard Jahmel Taylor contributed with 14 points. Up and coming junior Namon Wright who is already receiving Pac-12 offers, scored 17 points. These three players each played 32 full minutes.
Cardinal Newman came into this game winning 22 out of 23 games, only losing once in 2013. Seniors Corey Hammell and Tim McCullough each led the Cardinals with 14 points. McCullough hit 3 of 4 three-pointers in this game.
Tom Bongfigli’s has now lost four CIF State Championships as Cardinal Newman’s head coach. Pacific Hills brings home their second championship in school history, now 2-2 in the CIF State Finals.
