Pleasant Grove senior Matthew Smrekar receives the Sportsmanship Honor

Posted March 26, 2013 by in – Pleasant Grove Eagles was the only men’s team from NorCal to win a State Title this past weekend, an accomplishment that speaks volumes.  But to the Eagles’ Matthew Smrekar, receiving the Sportsmanship Medal of Honor is an award bigger than anything he’s ever achieved.  Voted by the coaches as a positive player who consistently displays great sportsmanship, Smerekar talked to our very own Angela Santoro about how he felt about his team winning the State Championship and how the coaches voted him as the Sportsmanship Medal of Honor recipient.
