Posted January 24, 2013 by in – NHL fans across the nation have been counting the days until they would get to see pucks flying and fisticuffs on ice again. 113 days and 34 cancelled games later, hockey fans would finally get their wish, or at least what’s left of it: the end of another NHL lockout. But they’re not the only ones who are relieved and embracing this salvaged season.
This week, we talked to local establishments in downtown San Jose to see what kind of impact the absence of the NHL has had on their business.
