It was the final day for players to show off their value and improve their stock before the NFL Draft. Representatives from all 32 NFL teams flocked to Stanford to check out the Cardinal’s finest, as Kevin Hogan, Josh Garnett, Austin Hooper, and Devon Cajuste made up part of the 14 players proving their skill in front of scouts at Stanford Pro Day.
Hogan stuck to throwing on Pro Day and focused on his quarterback-specific drills, a decision he made after the combine at the end of February. He felt good about his showing and found a good rhythm with his teammates, making some excellent throws up and down the field. Cajuste impressed during the 40-yard-dash as times of 4.4 – 4.5 impressed many while his family cheered from the stands and matched his neon green attire, appropriate for the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. Garnett wanted to show his quick feet in addition to his power, while Hooper, leaving Stanford early to go pro, improved his 40 as well.
Other Pro Day participants looking forward to the draft included Kevin Anderson, Blake Martinez, Kyle Murphy, Ronnie Harris, Ra’Chard Pippens, Rollins Stallworth, Remound Wright, Kodi Whitfield, Brennan Scarlett, and Aziz Shittu.
The 2016 NFL Draft will take place in Chicago from April 28-30.
