3⭐️ QB Carson Su’esu’e Commits To BYU https://getsportsfocus.com/carson-suesue-granger-de-la-salle-qb/ Tue, 11 Jul 2023 07:32:16 +0000 https://getsportsfocus.com/?p=7852

Carson Su’esu’e, a talented 3-star quarterback, is about to play his final high school football season at Granger High School in West Valley City, Utah.

Born and raised in Northern California, Carson’s high school football career began at De La Salle, where he spent three years showcasing his talents as a member of the Spartans. As the youngest of three brothers, Carson was no stranger to the game, having grown up in a family that breathed football. With his father, Mori Su’esu’e, serving as a renowned trainer, mentor, and coach for future NFL stars such as Najee Harris and Joe Mixon, Carson was exposed to the intricacies of the sport from an early age.

During his time at De La Salle, Carson played two years of varsity football, leaving an indelible mark on the field. Standing at 6’5″ and weighing 200 pounds, his talent and dedication attracted the attention of numerous college programs, leading to an impressive twelve Division I offers.

In February of this year, Carson made a life-altering decision, moving to Utah to attend Granger High School. This transition, prompted by personal reasons, did not deter Carson from his dreams of playing collegiate football. Despite joining a new team, Carson quickly adapted to his surroundings, thanks to the unwavering support of his family and the warm reception from the Granger Football community.

Carson’s ranking as the 26th college prospect in the State of Utah and #81 nationally, according to 247Sports.com, reflects the recognition he has garnered for his exceptional talent and hard work. His on-field accomplishments, combined with his commitment to academic excellence, have earned him a reputation as a well-rounded student-athlete.

Carson’s dad, Mori, runs a  non-profit organization, Making Lives Unique Youth Foundation Inc. (MLUYFI). Through MLUYFI, he aims to provide student-athletes with the necessary tools to succeed academically and athletically. Their program emphasizes the importance of higher education and aims to guide young athletes toward college opportunities.

Carson’s commitment to BYU on July 7, 2023, marked a significant milestone in his journey. With the decision to play for the Cougars, he will join a prestigious program and continue to develop his skills under the tutelage of experienced coaches. BYU recognized Carson’s potential and is eager to harness his talent to further elevate its football program.

During the off-season, Carson honed his skills playing 7v7 football for Team Pala and MLUYFI. The dedication he displayed in these competitions translated to success on the field. In fact, Carson’s team, Team Pala, emerged victorious in the GSF Top Gun 7v7 High School Championship, held at Oak Grove High School in January of this year.

Carson’s aspirations extend beyond the football field. While he hopes to pursue a career in business, with the possibility of expanding his father’s youth program in the future, he also harbors dreams of acting in movies. Endowed with a captivating personality, Carson possesses the charisma and talent necessary to excel in the entertainment industry should his football ambitions take a different path.

Grateful for the unwavering support of his parents, mentors, coaches, and trusted friends, Carson recognizes the invaluable role they have played in his journey thus far. As he embarks on this new chapter, his primary goal is to help his new team, Granger High School, secure a State Championship. Carson’s determination and drive are sure to propel him to new heights as he continues to leave a lasting legacy both on and off the field.

Last season at De La Salle, Carson’s contributions were significant, as he recorded 7 passing touchdowns and 7 rushing touchdowns, accumulating a total of 921 yards. These statistics not only speak to his on-field prowess but also serve as a testament to his ability to make a meaningful impact on the game.

Carson Su’esu’e’s journey from Northern California to Utah, from De La Salle to Granger High School, is a testament to his perseverance, ambition, and unwavering love for the game of football. With his commitment to BYU, Carson’s future shines brightly, and the world eagerly awaits the next chapter of his remarkable story.

San Jose, Ca – Leigh High School’s star running back and linebacker, Shayan Shariat, is a force to be reckoned with on the football field. Standing tall at 6’2″ and weighing in at 220 pounds, Shayan possesses the physical attributes that make him a formidable player. However, it’s not just his size that sets him apart; it’s his dedication, versatility, and outstanding achievements both in sports and academics.

Shayan’s football journey began as a freshman when he defied his parents’ initial concerns and signed up for summer workouts. After witnessing his skills and passion during his first game, they wholeheartedly supported his decision. Since then, Shayan has become a vital asset to the Leigh Longhorns, showcasing his prowess on offense, defense, and special teams.

But football isn’t Shayan’s only athletic pursuit. He is a true three-sport athlete, also making waves as a member of Leigh High School’s competitive cheerleading squad and track team. Balancing multiple sports while excelling academically is no easy feat, but Shayan manages to maintain a remarkable GPA of 3.6 and above.

In addition to his contributions to Leigh High School’s athletic program, Shayan plays for the GSF 5-Star 7v7 football team, where he made significant strides this past Spring. His involvement in various camps at San Jose State, Cal Berkeley, and Stanford showcases his determination to refine his skills and catch the attention of Division 1 college recruiters.

Off the field, Shayan is a natural leader, admired by his teammates and coaches alike. He credits his father for training him in sports, acknowledging the pivotal role his parents played in shaping him into the athlete he is today. The head coach of the Leigh Longhorns, Coach Padia, expresses immense pride in Shayan’s accomplishments, highlighting his versatility and commitment to the team.

With a “never leave the field” attitude, Shayan embraces the opportunity to contribute in any way possible. Coach Padia plans to utilize his talents on both offense and defense this year, emphasizing his ability to make an impact across all facets of the game. Shayan eagerly embraces this challenge, eager to lead his team to victory and potentially earn himself another MVP award.

While Shayan continues to excel in his athletic pursuits, he remains focused on securing a scholarship offer from a top Division 1 school. Undeterred by the absence of an offer thus far, he dedicated his off-season to training with ATP, the team’s strength and conditioning coach. Additionally, Shayan honed his skills by participating in 7v7 games with the GSF 5-Star team while also devoting time to his successful cheerleading squad, which clinched multiple tournament wins, including a National Championship.

Looking forward to his senior season, Shayan exudes confidence and determination. He predicts big things for the Leigh Longhorns this fall and is poised to lead his team on a quest to win the league and CCS title. With his exceptional talent, work ethic, and unwavering drive, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Shayan Shariat earn himself another accolade along the way.

Reflecting on his journey, Shayan offers valuable advice to his eighth-grade self: “Train right away, play Pop Warner, and make sure you keep your grades up.” This sage counsel reflects his understanding of the importance of discipline, perseverance, and maintaining academic excellence.

As Shayan Shariat heads into his senior year, all eyes will be on this remarkable athlete who combines skill, versatility, and leadership on and off the field. With his sights set on making a significant impact and leaving a lasting legacy, there’s no doubt that Shayan’s future is destined to be filled with success.

With 10 scholarship offers and counting, Serra Padres’ QB Maealiuaki Smith is looking to make history as the best QB in Serra high school’s history. He currently has seven total touchdowns thrown to five different receivers. Smith has also proven that he can take off with the ball if he needs to, a part of his game that Folsom and De La Salle realized as the Padres handled both teams decisively.

Serra is 3-0 going into WCAL play. St. Francis, despite being 1-2, is still the #2 team in the league. The Padres will travel to St. Francis for an early league showdown, with the winner will most likely be this year’s WCAL champion.

August 2022

Senior Andrew Adkison was a playmaker for St. Francis last year. His performance against Serra in the regular season finale was a memorable one. But perhaps the one catch he made against De La Salle to set up the game-winning touchdown is the one that would etch his name in high school sports history. The Lancers would end one of the longest win streaks in football when St. Francis defeated De La Salle 34-28.

Rated as a 3-star recruit by 247Sports.com, Adkison is looking to lead the Lancers to another championship run. With QB Matt Dougherty Jr. back under center, you can expect some fireworks, and it starts this Friday at St. Francis when Central Catholic of Modesto visits Mtn. View to take on the Lancers for the season opener.
