Remember this duo, Jackson Cahoon and Aaron Knapp. Their journey started when they were five years old and years later, they’re still ballin’, now at the high school level. The Lancers hosted a tripleheader on September 10th, 2021 and these two young captains of the freshman team led their squad to a dominating 21-7 victory over the best football program in the land, the De La Salle Spartans. They set the tone early that evening that led to all three levels winning over the Mighty Spartans. Four years prior, the seniors on varsity actually beat the DLS when they were freshmen, and if history does repeat itself, Cahoon, Knapp, and the rest of the 2025 Lancers have something special to look forward to.

The future of St. Francis football is bright with incoming freshman Aaron Knapp. He may not play varsity right away but what’s impressive with this kid is that he seems mature enough to be part of it. Knapp showed his accuracy, his quick release, and hunger by taking more reps than any of the other Qbs at the Pro-Sport Training Friday Night Heat. He was the guy in command. He directed his receivers. He took charge and he completed more passes than the rest. Knapp seems to love competing, a valuable trait for a signal-caller especially at a high-level program like St. Francis. We just need to wait a few more weeks to see how he performs in pads and with guys coming right at him in the backfield.
