Alexander Atkins is probably the most experienced player on the Serra Padres’ roster. Now a senior, Atkins was moved up to varsity as a freshman. He’s been in the CIF State Championship twice and was part of the undefeated 5-0 team in the “Covid Spring Football Season” of 2021.
Atkins took part in this Summer’s GSF Top Dawg Camp Series and was voted by the coaches as the “Most Outstanding Upper Classman” athlete. He also performed well during the testing period of the camp, finishing in the top five of the Shuttle, Vertical, Broad Jump, and taking first in the 3-Cone Drill.
Atkins is a well-rounded athlete who can play any skill position, especially QB. He came from a football family and has been around Serra Football since junior high, acting as a water boy for his older brother’s games at Serra. Atkins is looking to lead his team to another memorable season.
Serra will open up the season on the road at Folsom on August 26th, followed by another game up North against De La Salle, which will be televised on ESPN.
