BREAKING: GSF Announces Regional Teams for 5th Annual Senior All-Star Games

SAN JOSE, Calif. — October 28, 2026

GetSportsFocus has officially established the regional alignment for the 5th Annual GSF Senior All-Star Football Games, bringing together top senior student-athletes from across the Greater Bay Area and surrounding regions.

The four GSF All-Star teams will once again compete as HEROES, 5-STAR, ICONS and LEGENDS, with each team representing a specific region.

“Having the list of schools for each team will clarify and improve the process,” said Alf Joaquin, organizer of the GSF All-Star Games. “Athletes will be able to know right away which team they will be a part of. We are currently in the process of admitting seniors, and we’re looking forward to our fifth year. It’s going to be epic.”

HEROES will represent San Francisco, the Peninsula and the western East Bay corridor, including Oakland, Hayward, San Leandro and Fremont.

5-STAR will represent Santa Clara County and feature student-athletes from throughout San Jose and the South Bay.

ICONS will represent the southern region, beginning with Morgan Hill and Gilroy and extending through Santa Cruz and Monterey counties.

LEGENDS will represent the inland East Bay, including Contra Costa County and the Tri-Valley region.

The regional format includes more than 150 high school football programs across the four GSF All-Star territories and gives selected athletes a clear path to knowing which All-Star team they will represent.

The 5th Annual GSF Senior All-Star Games will take place on Sunday, January 3, 2027, in San Jose as part of the GSF All-Star Experience.

The games will once again support the GetSportsFocus Stand Up and Support: Anti-Bullying and Suicide Prevention initiative.

GSF is currently accepting and confirming members of the Class of 2027 for this year’s All-Star rosters. Team assignments, coaches, practices and additional Game Day information will be announced as the All-Star Experience gets closer.
