GSF Top Dawg X (TDX) Camp, powered by XIOS Fitness and Overtime Performance, delivered an solid day of competition and athletic development. Using cutting-edge NFL-grade laser timing technology, athletes were tested in the 40-yard dash and the 5-10-5 shuttle, providing precise and reliable results.

Evan Vernon and Josiah Garcia, both from Christopher High, stood out in the 5-10-5 drill, clocking impressive 4.3-second runs. Salomon Quintero, also from Christopher, took the crown as the fastest in the 40-yard dash with a 4.973 time, followed closely by teammates Matthew Boles (4.978) and Oak Grove QB Ryan Wright (4.993). Among linemen, Carlmont’s Bear Ryan emerged as the standout with a 5.492 in the 40-yard dash and a 4.6 in the 5-10-5.

Christopher’s TE Matthew Anderson showcased all-around athleticism, with a 5.001 in the 40-yard dash and an outstanding 4.41 in the shuttle. Anderson’s dominance extended to drills and one-on-ones, where his sure hands and route-running made him a standout performer.

Coach Marcus Romo of Overtime Performance and Coach Andrew DeLa Cruz of XIOS Training emphasized the importance of technique, encouraging athletes to refine their form, start, and burst to improve their times. “Fix the little things, and you’ll see significant improvements,” Coach Andrew told the players.

Alf Joaquin, the camp organizer, expressed satisfaction with the event’s success. “The first camp went well. The seniors got the work they needed. Coach Sione and Coach Duff will help the BIG DAWGS get better as we gear up for the next month and the all-stara game,” he said.
