Burlingame class of 2023 Joey Nawrocki is an Athlete. He’s going to be a senior this year, and he’s ready to win. As a team captain this Fall, Joey’s work ethic and desire to be the best he can be is what sets him apart from the rest.

Burlingame finished the 2021 football season 8-3, 3-2, and ended the season in a heartbreaking overtime loss to Hollister 31-28. Joey didn’t play much senior season due to injury. After the season, he passed up the opportunity to play 7v7 and decided to work a part-time job instead. He did, however, join the Burlingame LaCrosse team just for fun and mainly to be with his friends.

Joey’s decision turned out to be a turning point in his journey after he got two scholarship offers to play a sport he had just learned to play. Northern Arizona and Washington State saw potential in Joey. But his first love is football, and he is optimistic about his future in it. One thing is for sure; however, Joey Nawrocki has the opportunity to be a college athlete.
