Lincoln Looks Like A Playoff Bound Team For Sure

Lincoln played like a playoff-bound team Thursday night against Willow Glen. Tayden Phillips is a baller and he’s got playmakers all around him. He also plays free safety and returns kicks on punt and kickoff. He can probably mow your lawn. Clean your house and cook dinner too since he’s out there doing everything to help his team win.

Willow Glen had trouble all around moving the ball and stopping the Lions. They definitely passed the eye test but Lincoln was much more athletic and disciplined. Speaking of discipline, Lincoln’s defense played well led by senior Rayden Costillo. He had at least 10 tackles, including two on special teams where he kicked the ball. Yes, the kicker made at least two tackles.

Both Tayden and Rayden are definitely candidates for this weekend’s GSF Weekly awards. Lincoln had a 42-8 lead at the half and went on to dominate 62-8. They will play Santa Teresa next.
