Before August 8th, GSF executive producer ALF Joaquin publicly acknowledge the Menlo-Atherton Bears football team as a team to watch out for this season. Loaded with several talents on both sides of the ball, M-A is positioned to make another title run.
On August 15th, a newcomer joined the squad immediately giving M-A a boost of confidence to win the league for the fifth year in a row and possibly play for another CCS championship. Senior transfer and 5-Star WR Jurrion Dickey could be the missing ingredient to transform the team into a State contender.
“The Bears just got upgraded to a CCS finalist with the addition of Jurrion,” according to the GSF producer.
“M-A, 20-0 in divisional play the last four seasons, is still the team to beat in the Bay Division,” according to Bay Area sports writer Glenn Reeves.
Time will tell, but one thing is for sure, the Bears with Dickey will be trouble for the rest of the teams in the CCS. M-A will host Bellarmine Saturday at 2pm to open up the 2022 season.
