Palma Chieftains vs Monte Vista Christian

After a heartbreaking loss to Aptos, the Palma Chieftains got back in the win column right before bye week. QB Luke Rossi led his offense to a 47-14 victory, in a game where everything worked well offensively. Senior Joe Cardinale got the ground game going early and finished with two rushing touchdowns. JC Escutia also ran the ball well, he scored a touchdown to start the third period. Logan Saldate and Paul Rivera each had touchdown receptions. Senior WR Caesar Aldisert came up with some big first-down catches that kept the drives going for Palma. Rossi finished the night with 10 completed passes, two touchdowns for 147 yards. He also kept the ball four times and rushed for 48 yards.

Defensively, the Chieftains got the job done as well despite having to wait for a full play clock each time Monte Vista ran their plays. The Mustangs had no answer to the Chieftains explosive offense at all.  They did however score twice against the Palma backups, but so did the Chieftains. Final score 47-14. Palma is now 3-1 while Monte Vista Christian drops down to 1-2.
