The Salinas Cowboys remain undefeated after a big win over league rival San Benito. The game was close up until the last possession. After both offenses scored early right away, the defense took over and it was just a matter of which team will adjust best, defensively. In the end, it was Salinas who edged out San Benito with a field goal. Coach Steven Zenk was named the GSF Week #6 South Bay Construction Coach of the Week. Senior defensive tackle Michael MacNeill, the Cowboy responsible for sealing the game with a defensive sack that forced a fumble to end the Haybalers effort to make a dramatic comeback, was named the GSF Week #6 WeightsandBars.com Defensive Lineman of the Week. Kicker Isaac Mancera, a sophomore, was later named the Special Teams Player of the Week.
