‼️OFFICIAL HIGHLIGHTS‼️ Serra Padres vs Folsom Bulldogs

Defense wins championships, and this game had that championship atmosphere. Folsom senior Rico Flores, a Notre Dame commit, showed off his playmaking ability. Still, the Padres’ defense got in the way of him scoring and forcing the Bulldogs to turnover the ball twice in crucial situations. The first was in the second half when sophomore Teddy Chung jarred the ball loose inside their own twenty, preventing a score. The second one, perhaps the biggest one, was inside the ten with 3:23 left in the 17-10 game. Serra senior Seamus Gilmartin made the game-changing play by stripping the ball carrier and forcing a turnover. Serra held on to win 17-12 after giving up safety with two seconds left on 4th and long.

Overall, the Padres look stacked and deep. Their next test is De La Salle next Friday in Concord.
