OFFICIAL HIGHLIGHTS – Serra Padres vs Valley Christian Warriors (Spring 2021)

Serra HS and Valley Christian HS played their first-ever high school football game under the Friday night lights in the month of March because of the Covid-19 pandemic. It was definitely one for the ages as the two best teams in the WCAL battled it out to the closing seconds of the game.
Juniors Dominique Lampkin and Hassan “The Missil3″ Mahasin led the offensive attack with Mahasin scoring on his first two touches. Lampkin was outstanding from the start and finished with over 200+ yards passing. All his touchdown throws were impressive and college highlight reel material. He hit Mahasin on a fade route to the end zone on Serra’s first offensive play of the game. With 7 seconds left in the first half, Lampkin threw a perfect ball where only his 6’6”, 225LB, 3-Star National Recruit TE, Christian Pedersen can only make the play. And to put the game somewhat out of reach, Lampkin tossed a perfect ball to sophomore Joey Villaroman on a post route that ended up in the endzone.
Valley Christian fell behind in the second quarter and rallied back. Sophomore star WR Jurrion Dickey got the call on a 60-yard bomb that brought the Warriors back to within seven with a little over three minutes left in the game. Dickey, a four-star national recruit was not targeted enough and finished with 5 rec and 104 yards to go along with his two touchdowns. Serra ended up giving the ball back to the Warriors with a minute to spare and that is when the Padres’ team captain Fynn Williams took the game away forcing a fumble recovered by New Mexico signee Sioeli Helu. Final score 33-26 Padres over the Warriors.
