Palo Alto hosted Mitty last Friday night to prepare for the 2021 football season. Both teams came out on fire and played in mid-season form. QB Danny Peters looked solid. He hit his targets and made some really good decisions. From the looks of things, Blake Chase is going to be his favorite target, another senior. Chase is a speedy 173lb playmaker who also plays free safety by the way. The other two-way standout was Brody Simison. Simison can be the game-changer for Palo Alto this season. He is the backup QB and a smart player on defense. He had three TFL, and two turnovers against Mitty in the scrimmage.
Palo Alto’s first two tests are at home starting with St. Ignatius this Friday and Serra the following week. Kickoff time is at 7pm.
