2026 GSF High School Summer League

Welcome to the 2026 GSF High School Summer League. GetSportsFocus is excited to bring back the Summer League for its second year, continuing our commitment to providing local student-athletes with a competitive, organized, and developmental offseason environment.

This summer league is designed to give players and teams a chance to compete, stay active, build chemistry, and prepare for the upcoming fall season. The league will feature six participating schools: Branham, Cristo Rey, Lincoln, Mount Pleasant, Piedmont Hills, and San Jose.

League Format

Each team will play 8 total games during the summer. Games will be played on both Tuesdays at Oak Grove High School and Fridays at Piedmont Hills High School.

Friday league dates at Piedmont Hills will feature 3 games in a row beginning at 3:30 PM. Tuesday league dates at Oak Grove will feature 2 back-to-back games beginning at 5:00 PM. We just added Santa Teresa HS to the roster. The schedule locations will be updated this coming weekend.

Individual players from the area may also join the Summer League. Depending on the number of individual registrations, players will either be placed onto an existing team or grouped together to form a team.

League Fees

Last year’s team fee was $840. We are pleased to offer a reduced rate this year. League fees are used primarily to help cover the cost of officiating and game operations.

Player Registration & Insurance Requirements

Teams may carry as many players as needed on their roster. However, every player must be registered individually by their parent or guardian for insurance purposes.

Our insurance provider requires that each player’s parent or guardian complete a waiver form. No player will be allowed to participate without a completed registration and waiver. INDIVIDUAL PLAYER REGISTRATION

Attendance & Participation

Player attendance will be tracked throughout the Summer League. At the end of the season, GSF will recognize the players who participated the most. We have not finalized what the recognition will be yet, but there will be something awarded to those athletes who show strong attendance and commitment during the summer.

Game Day Information

At Oak Grove High School, Oak Grove Athletics will be selling snacks and drinks on league nights. Adult admission at the gate will be $10.

There is no admission cost at Piedmont Hills.

Rules & Sportsmanship Guidelines

It is very important that all parents, coaches, and players read the GSF Summer League Rules and Sportsmanship Guidelines before participating in the league.

These guidelines are in place to help create a safe, respectful, competitive, and organized environment for everyone involved. Failure to follow league rules and sportsmanship expectations may result in disciplinary action, removal from games, or removal from the league.

The GSF High School Summer League is more than just games. It is a chance for athletes to compete, improve, stay active, and build momentum heading into the fall season. We appreciate the support of parents, coaches, schools, and the community as we continue to grow this league.

We look forward to a strong and competitive summer.

⚽ GSF Summer League Sportsmanship Guidelines

1. Respect the Game, Respect Each Other
All players, coaches, parents, and fans must treat each other with respect — before, during, and after games. Good sportsmanship is expected at all times.

2. Officials’ Decisions Are Final
Referees are in charge of the match. Their calls are final. Harassment or persistent arguing will not be tolerated.

3. No Tolerance for Verbal or Physical Abuse
There is zero tolerance for any kind of verbal or physical abuse toward players, referees, coaches, or spectators. This includes anywhere on the premises of Abraham Lincoln High School — the field, bleachers, parking lot, walkways, and restrooms. Violators will be removed from the venue and may face further league discipline.

4. Encourage, Don’t Criticize
Coaches and parents should lead with encouragement. Negative comments — even if well-intended — do not help athletes grow. Build up, don’t tear down.

5. Sidelines Are for Cheering, Not Coaching
Only official team coaches may give instructions to players. Parents and fans should cheer supportively and allow coaches to coach.
🚫 For safety reasons, no one is permitted to walk around the track during games.

6. Win with Humility, Lose with Dignity
Celebrate your victories respectfully and accept your losses with class. Shake hands. No taunting, mocking, or unsportsmanlike behavior.

7. Clean Up and Respect the Space
Help keep the field and bleachers clean. Do not leave trash behind. Treat Abraham Lincoln High School as if it were your own home.

8. Represent Your Team with Pride
Every player and coach is a reflection of their school and community. Be a positive example for others.

9. Field Access is Limited to Authorized Personnel Only
Only players, coaches, referees, and league staff are allowed on the field.
🎥 All media (photo/video) must receive clearance from GetSportsFocus prior to filming. A media credential form is available online and must be submitted in advance.

10. Violations Will Have Consequences
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in warnings, ejections, suspensions, or permanent removal from the league — no exceptions.
