Alvarez vs Christopher

Christopher hosted Everette Alvarez Thursday night and forced five turnovers. Senior Rossi Oteri recovered a fumble in the first, intercepted a pass in the second and also scored a touchdown in the fourth. Fellow senior Luis Ramos was a pest on defense and disrupted Alvarez several times. It’s hard to win a game when you turn the ball over five times.

Offensively, the Cougars struck early and took advantage of the turnovers. With multiple guys going both ways, the game slowed down a bit late in the first half but they picked it back up in the third. QB Spencer Gorgulho completed eleven of his sixteen pass attempts for 114 yards and a touchdown to Jeterius Lee. Junior RB Eric Argumedo ran two touchdowns from inside the ten.

Christopher improved to 2-2 with Monte Vista Christian up next.
