‼️OFFICIAL HIGHLIGHTS‼️ Serra Padres vs Mater Dei Monarchs (State Championship Fall 2021)

Joseph Bey with the HIT OF THE YEAR!!! But Mater Dei, the #1 team in the Nation beat Serra 44-7 for the CIF Open Division State Championship.
Stockton native Raleek Brown, a 5-star USC-bound RB scored three touchdowns for the Monarchs.

WCAL RB of the Year Petelo GI left his mark as the only RB this season to rush for over 100 yards against the Monarchs. His 42-yard run from midfield with seconds left in the first half was his longest. Cal bound senior Cameron Sydney caught up with Petelo inside the five to keep the Padres scoreless at the half.

Without two key players in Hassan “The Missil3” Mahasin and Joey Villaroman, Serra struggled to match Mater Dei offensively. Two early turnovers resulted in two quick Monarchs scores leaving the Padres down 24-0 at the half. The Padres are the first CCS team to compete in the CIF Open Division State game. They hope to keep that status next year with pre-season games against Folsom, De La Salle, and Central Catholic. Serra finished ranked #6 in CA and #1 in NorCal.
